Pretzel Sunday

According to legend, the snack originated between the fifth and seventh centuries when a monk fashioned leftover dough into the now familiar shape. The thick strips of dough were shaped like arms crossed in prayer. The three holes were said to represent the Holy Trinity.

The Wesleyan Sunday School class will be remembering this tradition on February 27th with “Pretzels for Covenant”.
